Sarah "Kate" is a 12th grader at the
School for the
Visual & Performing Arts at Firestone High School where her focus area
is vocal music. She is in the Academic Honors Program and takes a number of
Advanced Placement classes and due to her AP scores so far was declared an
Advanced Placement Scholar. She is #1 in her class.
She was awarded the Chrysler Award as the top senior girl nominated by
seniors and selected by faculty. She sings in the Madrigals, the Symphonic Choir
and the Women's Chorus. She is the president of the National Honor Society,
member of the Student Council, swims on the Catalinas synchronized swimmers,
and lettered in '07 on the varsity tennis team and was All City Academic
tennis team. She was the 2007 Homecoming Queen runner up. She sings in the
Summit Choral Society Touring Choir . She (with Mom as the lead choir
volunteer manager) were with the choir in Germany, Austria, and the Czech
Republic in June, 2007 on tour. In previous years she has sung with the
choir in Italy and China. She is also an oboist and a pianist.

sister Molly at the Firestone '07 homecoming and on the right at the
Firestone '08 winter formal. She will enter
Heidelberg College in Tiffin, OH
the fall of '08 in the
music education program (vocal, piano and oboe), and will be in the
Honors Program.
